These are some common questions ...

How are propane prices determined? Propane and other heating fuels are traded on the commodities market, which is similar to the stock market. The biggest influence on propane pricing is the cost of crude oil and natural gas, which are used to make propane.

Why is my propane price different from my neighbors? Propane pricing is based upon consumer consumption. Basically, the more propane you use, the cheaper your rate will be. Our rates vary from the lowest consumption category (1-25 gallons) to the highest consumption category (700+ gallons). Our rates are based upon your annual consumption.

Who owns the tank at my house? Generally, your propane supplier owns the tank at your location. Exceptions to this may be customers who purchase tanks and equipment.

Who can fill my propane tank? Whichever company owns the tank is the only one that may fill it.

How do I know how much propane is in my tank? There are various sizes of tanks. Ask what size tank you have when it is installed. There is a gauge under the lid of most tanks, which read from 0% to 80%. If a tank reads 80% it is considered full. This is because it leaves 20% of the tank capacity for expansion of gas. Propane will expand when heated and contract when cold. Hence, varying reading depending on the weather.

How can I switch service from my current provider? If you decide to switch fuel providers, an appointment will be made to change out the equipment at your location and perform a complete leak test and system inspection of your installation. Once our equipment is installed, you can call the company to come and pick up their equipment.

Why do companies charge rental fees on tanks? Rental fees are assessed to customers who have tanks at their properties, and who have not taken any deliveries in over one year. Companies must assess rental fees to offset the cost of the tank and equipment provided when no propane is being consumed.

Should I be on automatic delivery or will call? Most customers choose to be on automatic deliver for convenience. Will call customers are responsible for checking our delivery schedule and calling one week ahead of time for a delivery. If you are on will call, and forget to order a delivery and we are not in your area, there are special trip fees applied.
