AT WALTZ & SONS PROPANE, WE TAKE PROPANE PERSONALLY.

In 1996, Skip & Sue Waltz founded Waltz & Sons, Inc. in Buxton, ME. Waltz & Sons Propane started as a propane service operation with a single service truck working out of their home. After two tours with the United States Air Force, Skip and Sue’s son, Mike, joined them in 1999. In 2001, Sue started full-time after a successful career as a Systems Engineer. In continuing to grow the family business, Skip and Sue’s son, Dexter, and daughter-in-law, Sandy, both joined in 2015.

In 2009, Waltz & Sons installed a single 30,000 bulk propane facility in Gorham. In 2014, the facility expanded to its current configuration of three 30,000-gallon tanks. In 2018, the business finally outgrew their home and yard, and the current office, propane tank storage, and parts facility was built at 29 Park Place in Buxton, ME. In 2025 Waltz & Sons sold to a local family-owned business, Eastern Propane & Oil. We will continue to operate as we have for the past 29 years with an extended family working with the team as they continue supporting the community and delivering the best customer service possible. 

Waltz and Sons would not be where they are today without supportive team members, friends, family, and especially customers. The Waltz family takes extreme pride in knowing customers trust them with their accounts and support their growth as they continue serving the local community.
